I’ve already read a lot of great reviews for this movie. And knowing that it’s a Pixar film made it all the more appealing for me to watch. It did not disappoint at all!

The beginning was like a montage – filled with great memories and also sad ones. It showed a beautiful relationship between two adventure-driven kids (Carl and Ellie) who became friends and eventually fell in love. It tells of their life together; their struggles to save some money and finally take that great adventure to South America. The montage ends and its life at the present time with Carl – now old and alone.

The storyline is great. A man who’s lost his drive to live when he lost his beloved wife but is eventually motivated to take that ultimate adventure that he promised her he would do. The travel to Paradise Falls is made even more interesting and fun with the addition of a wilderness scout set out to help an elderly, and a hilariously talking dog.

Up is not only full of laughs, it also tells you that you are never too young or too old to take that leap and have an adventure.
