Loved it. I almost forgot my french fries and burger, hanging on to every frame.

It’s wonderful to know that Peter Cullen, who voiced Optimus Prime in the 80’s animated series, reprised his role here. Shia LaBeouf as always was funny in his geeky sort of way, giving the story a balance between action and comedy. I also liked how they upgraded Bumblebee from a bug to a Camaro. (Sweet ride, I might add!) It was a good idea, too that they changed Megatrons alternate from a pistol to a Cybetronic aircraft. I’ve always found that weird, anyway.

I was really touched that there was some humanity in Bumblebee as he pleadingly looked back at Sam when he got caught, although it was obvious that he looked all-mechanical. And another part where he lost his legs, almost thought he was getting offed.

Could’ve done without the cheesy moments, though. There were moments as well that felt like, Pearl Harbor again. The looking-up-the-sky bit was so dejavu. Josh Duhamel was OK, but what was that about when he skidded the bike under Blackout? I suppose that was Michael Bay’s way of leveling the action scenes between the robots and humans.

All in all, a very engaging and enjoyable movie to watch. For those who grew up watching The Transformers, this is a great way of getting in touch with your childhood. Specially, when you’re trying hard to remember all the characters.
