Terminator Salvation

Being a Terminator series and Christian Bale fan, I had high expectations for the film. I was imagining it as having some sort of a “batman begins” effect to the franchise.
And the action scenes did not disappoint! I liked the opening mayhem of the movie as well as the gigantic harvesters and the drone bikes. I just wish there had been a bit more, being it a man-against-machines war movie and all.
The cast’s acting was also great, although it was difficult to dissociate Christian Bale from his batman character. But Sam Worthington and Moon Bloodgood portrayals were spot on.
The writing though left something to be wanted, considering a potentially great post apocalyptic material it had. The predecessor Terminator films always had me curious on what it feels like surviving judgment day, and the film didn’t deliver well on that.
But all in all it is a pretty good film, and although it is not as good as Terminator 1 and T2-Judgement day, it’s a nice addition to the franchise as well.
