Tenacious D - Pick of Destiny

Hmmm… what can I say I’m a big fan of Tenacious D, no matter how vulgar their songs can be sometimes. It’s just that Jack Black’s pipes are so majestic, I can listen to him wail out incomprehensible lyrics and still feel good. 

However, I was a bit disappointed with this movie. It started out like it was a musical with Meatloaf and a young Jables, singing their lines. Unfortunately, that was the 2nd most enjoyable part of the show. The other was with the standoff against Satan (played so nicely by Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters – another fave band!)

The movie all in all, sadly, was a bust. I still enjoyed the songs they played though. If you’re not a fan of either of them or Tenacious D, I suggest you watch something else.
