Inkheart is a film adaptation of a book of the same title. I’ve never read or heard of the book, but I when I saw the trailer for this movie – I thought, it’s Brendan Fraser, why not.

Although, Brendan’s character here was morose and not what I was expecting, I still enjoyed watching the movie.

The story was about a man who can magically read out characters from books. But not without a price, something that he has been paying for years when he accidentally read out characters from the book Inkheart – while his own wife went in it. He has been called a “silver tongue” for his abilities.

While he’s been searching far and wide for the book that took his wife, characters that he’s read out are searching for him. Paul Bettany and Andy Serkis play these book-born characters.

It’s an exciting magical tale and one that will please not just the kids but adults, too.
