Parental Movie Reviews
There are literally millions of movies out there - on television, cable, video and the Internet. As technology advances, films of different shapes and sizes are becoming more and more accessible. This in turn makes it a bit more unsafe for children, as they can quite easily watch movies that may not be appropriate for them or worse!
It is also no news that the best people to judge which movies children should watch are the parents. They know their kids better than anyone and can tell right off the bat whether a particular film is good for them or not.
It's not easy to tell though which movies kids should watch, picking GP/PG films does not mean good movies. Parents need to more information on what the movie is about, which leads us to Parental movie reviews. Parent movie reviews are reviews made by concerned parents/guardians that want to share their views on particular films.
These reviews allow parents to learn more about a specific film that their children might be interested in seeing. Before actually going to the theater or renting a DVD, it's good to read up first on what other parents might be saying on a particular movie. Parent movie reviews will help in finding out what the movie can offer with regard to values, good habits and importantly what to watch out for.
Many movies may be rated as GP but can still include certain scenes that may leave the parents biting their fingers. Parents/guardians shouldn't rely solely on the ratings as they can be very generalized. Although the movies may have been rated watchable by children, you still can't be too sure of what they may be watching in the next 90 minutes.
With parental movie reviews aiding you in choosing the films for your children you can be sure that they will be seeing something worth watching – movies that contain good values and less bad habits. Parents can then rest easy that their children won't be learning any vulgar language or any inappropriate behavior that you're not ready to explain to them yet.
Parent movie reviews though, should not only contain a summary of the movie. It shouldn't be very subjective – it should try to be as objective as possible. Parental movie reviews must also cater to all races as movies do reach globally and anybody can watch it.
Parents should always take into consideration what their children are watching. Movies can be quite engaging and we don't know how much any of the film the kids can take with them. Language and behavior is something that can easily be passed on to kids especially when shown in a lighthearted manner. So, parents should always be on the lookout – don't stick in that DVD without reading up on a few parental movie reviews first.
